Shandong Key Laboratory Convenes Academic Committee and Council Meeting

On December 6, 2025, the Shandong Key Laboratory of Key Technologies for Large-Capacity Intelligent & Eco-Friendly Switching Equipment held its second annual Academic Committee and Council meeting today, marking a productive year of research and outlining ambitious plans for the future.
The laboratory, led by Taikai in partnership with North China Electric Power University and Shandong University of Science and Technology, reported significant progress across multiple fronts in 2025. Researchers achieved key breakthroughs in eco-friendly gas insulation, nuclear-grade switchgear, and digital twin systems, advancing the lab’s mission to support greener and smarter power infrastructure.
Over the past year, the lab has secured 4 provincial-level R&D projects, been granted three invention patents, published three SCI-indexed papers, and contributed to the development of twelve industry standards, four of which have already been released.
The annual meeting also served as a platform to review operational frameworks and align on strategic priorities for 2026, ensuring the lab remains at the forefront of innovation in China’s power equipment sector.
