Beijing, July 10–13, 2026 – The 24th IET International Conference on AC and DC Power Transmission (ACDC 2026), a premier global event in the power industry, was successfully held in Beijing. Co-organized by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), Tsinghua University, and Huairou Laboratory, the conference was supported by Taikai Group as a core executive sponsor, working alongside leading research institutes, grid operators, and power equipment manufacturers to ensure the smooth running of the event.

ACDC, a long-established and prestigious IET conference series in the field of AC/DC transmission, brought together academicians, top university scholars, grid technology experts, and technical leaders from industry pioneers. The discussions focused on cutting-edge topics including flexible DC transmission, power semiconductors, DC interruption, renewable energy grid integration, and energy storage systems – making it a key annual academic and industrial exchange platform for the global power electronics community.

During the main plenary session, Mr. Liu Bo, Director of Taikai Group and Chairman of Shandong Taikai High Voltage Switchgear Co., Ltd., delivered a keynote speech titled “Innovation and Large-Scale Engineering Demonstration of AC/DC Integrated Equipment for High-Penetration Renewable Energy Grids.” Drawing on over a decade of industry-academia-research collaboration and multiple benchmark project experiences, Mr. Liu shared insights into the development trends of new power system equipment, presented Taikai’s innovative achievements in high-voltage switchgear and flexible DC complete equipment, and proposed pathways toward reliable, integrated, and intelligent equipment solutions – sparking extensive discussion among the audience.

In parallel thematic forums, Mr. Li Wei, General Manager of Shandong Taikai DC Technology Co., Ltd., and Mr. Tian Zhi, Manager of the Data Center Power Supply Business Line, delivered specialized presentations. They showcased the company’s full-series DC circuit breakers, solid-state transformers, and power conversion equipment, combined with practical engineering cases, and elaborated on complete flexible DC system solutions for various renewable energy scenarios. Their presentations demonstrated Taikai Group’s comprehensive technology and product portfolio in domestically developed DC core equipment.
