World’s First 1000 kV Tank-Type CVT for UHV Projects Enters Mass Production

On April 1, 2026, TAIKAI gathered experts from State Grid’s UHV Department, China Electric Power Research Institute, Wuhan NARI, and leading switchgear manufacturers (Pinggao, XD, SDEE) to witness the official production kickoff of the world’s first 1000 kV tank-type CVT for UHV projects.
🔹 Proven technology – Type-tested in 2009, and has been successfully operating at the Huainan UHV project since 2013.
🔹 Now standardized and recognized – Included in State Grid’s procurement standards (2024) and already assigned to national key UHV projects.
🔹 State-of-the-art manufacturing – A newly built Class 100,000 clean assembly workshop and a full-chain quality control system ensure zero-defect delivery.

The review team confirmed full readiness for mass production. “We are committed to delivering these critical assets with uncompromising quality, on-time delivery, and long-term reliability,” said TAIKAI.
